The loan period of an item is generally designated by a coloured sticker on its spine:
- Red sticker = non-loan. Items are for reference only within the Library.
- Yellow sticker = week loan (no renewals). Items are issued for seven days.
- White or no sticker = longloan. Items are issued for 13 weeks and can be renewed once if they have not been reserved by another user. They will be recalled if reserved, and will only issue for one week if there are outstanding reservations pending.
Journals and reference books may not be borrowed.
Posters listing the different loan periods can be found around the Library. Be sure to check your checkout receipt to confirm the due date of the item, and monitor your email for any recalls.
