The loan period of an item is generally designated by a coloured sticker on its spine:

  • White or no sticker = Long Loan. These are the vast majority of items, are issued for 4 weeks at a time and will automatically be renewed 6 times if they have not been reserved by another user.

Please Note: Long Loans may be recalled early if reserved by another user AND they will only issue for one week if there are outstanding reservations pending at the time they are borrowed.

  • Red sticker = Non-Loan. Items are for reference use only and may not be taken out of the Library.

Journals and reference books may not be borrowed.

Be sure to check your emailed checkout receipt to confirm the due date of the item, and monitor your email for any recalls.
