There are a number of reasons this can happen:

  • If you already have a copy of the book on loan, you will not be able to reserve another copy.
  • Some items, including reference books, official publications and journals cannot be borrowed or reserved.
  • If you owe over £20.00 on your account it will be blocked and you will not be able to use any Library services, including Click and Collect/Post.
  • Only up to 6 item requests can be made via the Library’s catalogue. But be aware you cannot exceed the maximum limit for books on an account.
