An item won't renew if:
- It's already renewed 6 times
- It's been reserved by another user
- Your Library account has over £20 in fees (usually from a lost book or a recall overdue charge)
- Your Library account has expired
If an item has already been renewed 6 times you should:
- Return the book to the Library Help Desk
- Send the item back via our Free Postal Return Services
- If the item has not been requested by someone else you'll be able to borrow it again and your renewals will start again
If an item has been reserved:
- You will receive an email telling you the new due date
- You will need to return the item by this date to avoid a recall charge
- If you don't return the item by this date you will be charged £2 for every day it is overdue
If your account is blocked:
If your Library account has expired:
- If you are a graduating student you can apply to use the Library as an alumni
- If you are a visitor you will need to renew your Library membership each year by applying to access the Library
If you have any questions please email library@brunel.ac.uk
