Interlibrary Loan books belong to other libraries and we can only borrow them because we have agreed that we will abide by the regulations of the UK Inter-Library Loan network.  For books loaned by the British Library that are either damaged or lost, you will be charged The British Library Lost Item Charge and administration charge which is currently a minimum of £233.76.  For items that are owned by other library’s this will depend on that libraries policy.  All charges will be passed onto the user.
