The BMC is a self-paced e-learning course that provides an interactive introduction to the financial markets. The course helps you learn to use Bloomberg through an exploration of financial market concepts.
The BMC has four core modules, which must be completed to get the certificate:
- Economic Indicators
- Currencies
- Fixed Income
- Equities
Once these are completed you will be able to download a certificate on completion which you can record on your CV and add to your LinkedIn profile, which may help you with employability.
Four optional modules are also available:
- Terminal Basics
- Commodities
- Equity Options
- Portfolio Management
There are also other Bloomberg certifications available, on ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), Bloomberg Finance Fundamentals, and Bloomberg Spreadsheet Analysis.
You can access all Bloomberg certifications via the BCER function on Bloomberg terminals in the Financial Resources Suite on Floor 2 of the Library, or contact your Academic Liaison Librarian for other potential options.
There are further details about Bloomberg on the Data and Statistics Library guide.
