Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) is a self-paced e-learning course. It provides an interactive introduction to financial markets and helps you to become familiar with the database Bloomberg. It covers four core modules:

  • Economics
  • Currencies
  • Fixed Income
  • Equities

Once these are completed you will be able to download a certificate on completion which you can record on your CV and add to your LinkedIn profile, which may help you with employability.

Further Bloomberg for Education e-learning modules, not part of the core certification, are available on Terminal Basics, Commodities, Equity Options and Portfolio Management.

You can currently access the Bloomberg e-learning via a Bloomberg for Education account set up with your Brunel e-mail address.  As part of the registration process you will be asked whether you registering as part of a class.  When you select yes, you will need to enter a Class Code.  Contact your Academic Liaison Librarian to get your Class Code.

There are further details about Bloomberg on the Data and Statistics Library guide, including information on upcoming training, run by Brunel librarians, on Bloomberg Certification.
