The Oxford Standard for Citation of Legal Authorities or OSCOLA, is the referencing style used in the Law School. The OSCOLA referencing style uses footnotes to indicate what information has been taken from a resource, and what that resource is. In OSCOLA referencing there are agreed abbreviations for most law reports and periodicals. The Cardiff Index to Legal Abbreviations allows you to search by a law report or periodical title to find the approved abbreviation, or search by an abbreviation to find the full title. This is particularly useful for when you are referencing cases and journal articles.
