In the first instance, you could try telling the person who is sitting in the space that you have booked it and have been emailed proof of the booking and politely ask them if they could move to the space they booked for themselves. If this doesn't work or you don't feel comfortable doing so, please go to the Library Help or Welcome desks and ask the staff there to intervene on your behalf. They'll be more than happy to make sure you get to sit in the space that you have booked.
