We have implemented measures above and beyond government guidance to offer the safest environment we possibly can, these include:
- Face coverings are mandatory for all Library users. (This is subject to the usual exclusions for medical reasons).
- 2M socially distanced queuing lanes and floor markings
- 2M study desk configurations and removal of non-compliant furniture
- Enhanced regular cleaning of public areas and toilets with frequent wipe-down of high contact services
- Wet wipe sanitation stations for users to wipe down desk areas and equipment themselves
- Hand sanitiser units available around the building
- Keyboard covers on communal PCs to facilitate cleaning
- 72 hour quarantine process for returned books
- Sneeze screens at customer service points
- Staff wearing appropriate PPE
- Use of turnstile data combined with booking form data if we need to contact customers for track and trace purposes
