Q. Is there any training available on using the business resources (e.g. from the providers themselves)?

As well as our recorded training, in some cases the platforms themselves offer their own training on how to use / get the most out of the package. Here are links to some of these:

Bloomberg

Under the Bloomberg for Education portal, there are a range of stand alone courses to help you get used to using the terminal / software (This is in addition to the BMC / ESG certification). Terminal Basics is a good place to start. A Bloomberg terminal log in is required – please see link here to get started.

FAME (and ORBIS VL)

Hover over the blue question mark icon to bring up the help menu. Here you can find video tutorials and walkthroughs to help you use the resource. Bear in mind your score will not be saved!

Mintel

There is Consumer data and Insights quick start training available. When logged into Mintel, go to ‘account settings’ in top right hand corner, then ‘help and training’

Passport

There are many video guides and tutorials, as well as a tour of the main interface. These can be found under https://www.portal.euromonitor.com/help/home 

Refinitiv Workspace

Refinitiv Certification will broaden your knowledge of the tools used by the most successful financial markets professionals. The training resources will help you become proficient in Refinitiv products. It is designed to allow you learn at your own pace. After completing the required modules, you can request exam tokens to enable you take the test. You will receive a certificate of completion, demonstrating your knowledge to peers and future employers. Scopus

Scopus tutorials provide a visual and audio tour of Scopus and its functions. The tutorials are also found in the relevant FAQs in the Scopus Support Center. When logged into the home page in Scopus, please go to the bottom right hand corner, and select ‘Training’ from the Customer Services menu. Training is also available via the Scopus Academy, which has four modules, on Basic Search, Advanced Search, Metrics and Research Collaborations.

Web of Science

Web of Science (Clarivate) offer a ‘Web of Science Essentials’ course. This self-guided course provides a complete introduction to Web of Science, completed at your own pace. A certificate of completion is provided
