To exporting result from an EBSCO database, select the Share menu from the top of the list of results. You can Add to Folder up to 20 results (or 50 if you increase the number of results per page in the Page Options menu), and then go to the Folder View to Direct Export to RefWorks (or other software).

To export all the results from a literature search:

  • Select the Share menu at the top of a list of results and then Export results: Email a link to download exported results.
  • Export in RIS format. It will be emailed to you
  • Open link from the email (select Save as) and save the zip file to your computer
  • Open the zip file, move the file out of the zip file and change the file type to txt
  • Create a folder in RefWorks that you want to import into
  • In that folder, Select file from computer, Select the file you have saved to your computer and change it to RIS Format UTF-8
  • Select the folder you want to import it into
  • Once it’s imported, delete the text file, to avoid accidentally uploading it when you’re meant to be uploading something else
