See the policy papers that set out the desired outcomes for public health: Public Health Outcomes Framework 2013 to 2016 and technical updates.
Review of PHOF indicators 2019 to 2022
The Public Health Outcomes Framework details all the indicators included in the policy document across 4 domains. This is reviewed every 3 years to ensure it remains fit for purpose and meets the needs of users.
Every 3 years we consult on changes to the indicators and publish a revised framework based on the findings.
