Q. Where can I find guidance on APA referencing via Brunel Library?

To find out how to cite and reference in APA style you can consult:

  • Brunel Library's APA quick guide. This two page guide gives examples of how to reference a number of common types of sources like journal articles, books and websites using APA formatting and style.
  • American Psychological Association. (2020). Publication manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed). American Psychological Association. This print manual is an exhaustive guide to not only citing and referencing in APA style, but also includes guidance on how to lay out assessments and written work, including tables and figures. The book is available to borrow from the Library.
  • American Psychological Association. (2026). APA style blog: Style and grammar guidelines. This website gives a useful reduced version of the the information included in the Publication Manual. On this site are examples of how to reference sources, as well as templates of papers to help with APA headings.

Finally, if you still need support, you can contact your subject librarian.
