There is a known problem with opening ebooks that were downloaded from Dawsonera with some versions of Google Chrome. Chrome tries to display the content in its own in-built PDF reader. However, although the ebook will have downloaded successfully (you can verify this by checking your downloads folder - Start > Computer > Downloads) it will not display in Chrome (see the foot of this FAQ for a possible reason). When you select the download option wait for the file to appear (see below) - do not open it inside the Chrome window
Select the option labelled Show in folder (see above) - it will be in your computer's downloads folder - then open it in Adobe Reader
Chrome may not open some content types from September 2015 as Google has withdrawn Chrome's support for certain browser plug-ins -- for more details see the link on NPAPI deprecation below. One solution would be to switch to a different browser such as Firefox or Opera.
