There is a known problem with opening ebooks that were downloaded from Dawsonera with some versions of Google Chrome. Chrome tries to display the content in its own in-built PDF reader. However, although the ebook will have downloaded successfully (you can verify this by checking your downloads folder - Start > Computer > Downloads) it will not display in Chrome (see the foot of this FAQ for a possible reason). You can see how to open the ebook in Adobe Reader instead, see below...

Download screen for a Dawsonera ebook

When you select the download option wait for the file to appear (see below) - do not open it inside the Chrome window

Look at the download status button (bottom left corner) and select Show in folder

Select the option labelled Show in folder (see above) - it will be in your computer's downloads folder - then open it in Adobe Reader

Locate the ebook PDF in your computer's downloads folder and open it in Adobe Reader

Chrome may not open some content types from September 2015 as Google has withdrawn Chrome's support for certain browser plug-ins -- for more details see the link on NPAPI deprecation below. One solution would be to switch to a different browser such as Firefox or Opera.
